Founded in 1905, Carnegie Mellon’s College Of Fine Arts (CFA) offers conservatory and studio-based training, which leads to professional degrees in architeture, art, design, drama and/or music. The College Of Fine Arts was also the first school in the nation to award a degree in drama.
The building was constructed between 1911 and 1916 in a Beaux Arts-style. Facilities within the building include the Kresge Recital Hall and Alumni Concert Hall.

Parking is available for free after 5:00 p.m. on weekdays, and on weekends in the Carnegie Mellon Campus Parking Garage (take ticket on entering; insert ticket in machine before leaving; the machine will validate your ticket, and allow you to exit, with no charge.)
It is also available for free after 5:00 p.m. on weekdays, and on weekends in the Morewood Parking Lot. The Morewood Parking Lot entrance is on Forbes Avenue, near the corner with Morewood. This is a surface parking lot, and no tickets are required for the stated times.
In addition, public parking on the streets in nearby Schenley Park, especially the street that flanks Flagstaff Hill (metered, but free after 6:30 p.m.).
