The Shiloh is an historic restaurant on Mt. Washington. ("Shiloh" means peaceful place or tranquil in Hebrew). The Shiloh Inn was built in the 1800's by the Soffel family. The 1984 movie "Mrs. Soffel" starring Dianne Keaton and Mel Gibson was based on the true story of Kate and Peter Soffel and the events surrounding the prison escape of the Biddle brothers and Kate's participation in those events.
As of 2005, the restaurant came under new ownership/management. The first floor has the main bar and a newly designed lounge, with live entertainment regularly.

The bar and restaurant are open Tuesday through Saturday, 4:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. and Sunday, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
