Description

The Steelworkers Building is home to key unions, guilds and related organizations.

The buidling is unique, in that it was the first constructed to wear its support structure on the outside, creating an unusual diamond-pattern. It was built in 1962 with five different types of steel.

Some activities and events held in the building are open to the public.

Hours of operation

The office is generally open weekdays, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. but the building may be open on evenings and weekends for certain events.

Parking

The Pittsburgh Parking Authority operates a garage nearby on Third Avenue.
