Operating in Pittsburgh since 1996, The Traditional Martial Arts Society preserves the original techniques of the Japanese Samurai, unchanged since feudal Japan. Unarmed and weapon techniques are all taught, based on a common set of movement principles. Through the instruction in these arts, the Traditional Martial Arts Society preserves a historical martial arts legacy, and prepares individuals to effectively deal with dangerous situations.
The society is located on the building's third floor.
