Founded in 1954, WQED was the country's first community-owned television station and became a production center of national programs for the Public Broadcasting Service. WQED now includes a classical radio station.
WQED's studios are sometimes used for networking and fundraising events.
The office is open regular business hours: weekdays, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The studios are open depending on event or activity.
WQED has its own parking facilities.
