This park offers pavillions, basketball courts, tennis, softball facilities, restrooms and a lot of wide-open space for frisbee.

McDonald is located in Washington County, Pennsylvania, a short twenty-minute drive from downtown Pittsburgh. The town is home to a community of 2500 residents. Rich in history, McDonald was founded by John N. McDonald, an Irish immigrant, who first laid claim to the land in 1775. He was the town's first settler as well as the first businessman, establishing an Indian trading post. The town grew with the help of the railroad and the oil and coal industries.

McDonald Heritage Park is also the location of annual McSummerFest celebration.
