Established in 1827 and chartered in 1910, the Brownsville Fire Company is an all-volunteer organization that serves the needs of people in and around Brownsville.
Brownsville is a small town in rural Fayette County founded in 1785 and currently has a population of about 2,300 people. The town has its own unique corner in the region's history as a railroad yard and coking center, with other industries related to the rise of steel.
The fire company is located in a simple, but attractive one-story cinder block building that includes a multi-use community room.
