Irwin Park

Description

Located in downtown Irwin, this park has a walking track, tennis court, basketball courts, deck hockey court, baseball field and concert amphitheater.

Irwin is a small town of about 4,500 people in rural Westmoreland County. The town was settled in 1853 and incorporated in 1854. It's downtown business district is a quaint, traditional small town with a variety of attractions for everyone.

Seating at the amphitheater is on blankets or lawn. Located near the playground is an area called Little Knights Kingdom, a wooden play structure. Crossing the small wooden bridge you climb the gradual path, bringing you into the large play area easily accessible to the handicapped.
