Located along part of the Youghiogheny River --- commonly called simply the Yough --- this state park is a prime location for various community events.
The Youghiogheny River is a 134-mile-long tributary of the Monongahela River traveling through West Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania. Youghiogheny is an Algonquin word meaning "a stream flowing in a contrary direction"
The park provides green space, pavilions and trails for hiking and bicycling within sight of this beautiful river.
Patrons are also welcome to boat, fish, canoe and swim in the Youghiogheny.
