Big Brothers Big Sisters is a non-profit organization whose mission is to help children reach their potential through professionally supported, one-to-one relationships with mentors that try to have a measurable impact on youth.
The Pittsburgh chapter's headquarters are located in an attractive yellow brick office building where they have activities such as workshops and volunteer orientation programs.
Preventative in nature, Big Brothers Big Sisters unites the agency staff, volunteer mentors and parents/guardians who work together to deter the occurrence of problematic behaviors in children before they are able to take root. Through role modeling, guidance and friendship, Big Brothers Big Sisters volunteers fill a void for children who are critically in need of stable and supportive bonds with caring adults.
Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.to 6:00 p.m.
Free, on-site parking is available in front of the building.
