Covenant Fellowship Church is part of the Reformed Presbyterian Church Of
North America.
The Reformed Presbyterian Church Of North America (RPCNA) is a small Presbyterian denomination with churches throughout the United States, Canada and Japan. Its beliefs place it in the conservative wing of the Reformed family of Protestant churches. Below the Bible --- which is held as divinely inspired and without error --- the church is committed to several "subordinate standards" which together is considered its constitution.
Forming out of the original Reformed congregation which was founded in the 19th century in Wilkinsburg, Covenant Fellowship began meeting in the 1970s at the Reformed Presbyterian seminary on Penn Avenue.
The present church building located at Swissvale and Hill Avenues was
purchased from a former Presbyterian USA congregation three decades ago. It is a handsome red brick building melding traditional with contemporary architectural styles.
The congregation has continued in her commitment to the neighborhood of Wilkinsburg throughout its changes. The congregation desires to reach out to her neighbors and includes ministries with community children and to address the issues of abandonment and available low income housing.
