Description

Chartered in 1867 and constructed in 1928, the Rochester First United Methodist Church seeks to open hearts, minds and door.

The United Methodist Church was founded in 1968 after the merger of two other denominations. Its theology traces back to the Christian Revival movement of the 18th Century.

The church's architecture reflects the art deco style of the 1920s and 1930s, with beautifully detailed gold-colored entry, big windows and a sophisticated but welcoming appearance.

Rochester First United Methodist offers an on-site preschool for children ages 3 to 4. The church often holds events in the large Adult Assembly Room.
