Established in December 2005 by a unanimous vote of Pittsburgh's City Council, Emerald View Park is a beautiful city park created on what was once heavily industrialized and mined land.

The name is symbolic of Pittsburgh's growing green identity. Emerald View Park embraces the natural look and topography that originally existed in what is now the city's historic Mount Washington neighborhood. It's 257-acres comprise a looping swath of woods with dramatic views of the Downtown Pittsburgh through the trees. Visitors enjoy walking the trails, bringing their kids to the playgrounds and playing on the ballfield.

Emerald View Park also connects and embraces Mount Washington's other neighborhood parks.

The park is jointly managed by the City Of Pittsburgh and the Mount Washington Community Development Corporation, whose mission is to cultivate growth, development and community investment in the neighborhood.
