Description

The Kovalchick Convention & Athletic Complex is the multi-purpose sports and event facilty for Indiana University Of Pennsylvania.

Indiana University Of Pennsylvania (IUP) is recognized for its combination of academic excellence with affordable prices. IUP provides an intellectually challenging experience to nearly 14,000 students at the university's three campuses, all easily accessible from Pittsburgh and the Middle Atlantic region.

The 148,500-square-foot facility offers multi-use adaptable space in the 5,000-seat Ed Fry Arena (named after a former IUP track coach) and the 630-seat Toretti Auditorium (named after local businesswoman Christine Toretti). The 17,000-square-foot state of the art conference center has multiple breakout rooms, including a 6,000-square-foot corporate training and executive conference center. It a fully equipped E-Conference Room with videoconferencing as well as teleconferencing capability.

It is named in honor of the Kovalchick Family, who donated $2 million for the facility's construction. The family owns a local scrap, salvage, recycling and railroad business.

The Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex has over three hundred (300) public parking spaces dedicated only to events within the facility.
