The mission of the C. C. Mellor Memorial Library is to educate, entertain and enrich residents of Edgewood, Braddock Hills, Forest Hills, Churchill and Wilkins as well as surrounding communities east of Pittsburgh.
The main library is located inside the beautiful, historic Edgewood home of businessman Charles Chauncey Mellor (1836-1909) who owned a prominent music store in Downtown Pittsburgh that was a major retailer of Steinway pianos.
The Forest Hills branch is located in the basement of the Forest Hills Senior Citizens Center. An attractive, home-like structure, the center is a welcoming place for older adults offering an array of activities guaranteed to keep them busy with informative classes and enjoyable social programs.
Patrons of the library can enjoy a terrific collection of books, videos, DVDs and other resources in a comfortable space. It is accessed through the basement entrance.
