Attack Theatre is a non-proift company that collaborates with artists from many disciplines to create performances and events featuring elements from many art forms.
The company leases space from the Pittsburgh Opera, the eighth oldest opera company in the United States.
This impressive building is a former air brake factory in the city's Strip District. At 45,000-square-feet, the facility features offices, rehearsal spaces, costume, wig & make-up shops, and a kitchen all meeting the “multimedia” requirements of opera. The renovated factory is highly energy efficient and incorporates the site’s exposed brick interiors, 150 historically accurate windows and original metal fire safes.
While full-scale operas are performed at the Benedum Center or Byham Theater, the Pittsburgh Opera and Attack Theater often stage concerts and other events here.
On-street parking is available, including metered parking.
