A family-owned bar and restaurant since 1933, Speal's Tavern offers everything from typical bar food to New Orleans cuisine.
The warm, friendly decor features handsome, exposed red brick walls, wood tables and a stage where some of the area's best blues acts perform.
The restaurant also functions as home to the Cigar Box Guitar Museum. Decorating the walls of Speal's is a collection of over 35 cigar box guitars --- primitive chorded instruments made with an empty cigar box that were first created in the 1840s. Cigar box guitars are the first instruments played by many blues and rock legends who wanted to play guitar but could afford an instrument.
Tuesday through Saturday, 3:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.
Free, on-site parking is available.
