The mission of Pittsburgh Community Services (PCS) is to address the causes of poverty and to diminish its effects through the development, implementation, sponsorship and support of programs and activities designed to enable and empower low-income residents to make measurable progress on the continuum from impoverishment to self-sufficiency.
Key programs include a neighbhorhood safety program; a youth education initiative called Project Life Line and a food pantry. PCS also has programs for job and business development.
Their headquarters include office and meeting space for various events.
The office is open Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. although may open at other days and times for specific programs.
Free parking is available adjacent to the building.
