Founded in 1861, The Iron City Brewing Company one of the first American breweries to produce a lager (a type of beer that is brewed using bottom-fermenting yeast at lower temperatures and for longer durations than those typically used to brew ales). The company has undergone several ownership changes and is now based out of Latrobe, Pennsylvania.
The beaufitful complex, constructed in the 1960s, is an impressive gothic structure reflecting the company's rich German roots.
