Located inside a strip mall called the Norwin Hills Shopping Center, the Habitat For Humanity ReStore is an outlet that accepts donated goods from local retailers, contractors and individuals in the community for resale with a focus on home improvement items such as furniture, home accessories, building materials and appliances.
Begun in 1993, Central Westmoreland Habitat For Humanity is a local affiliate of Habitat For Humanity International which seeks to provide affordable, decent housing.
The donated goods that are sold to the general public at the restore help Pittsburgh Habitat For Humanity fund the construction of new and refurbished homes for selected partner families.
