Founded in 1972, the mission of Pittsburgh Action Against Rape (PAAR) is to respond to survivors of sexual violence with crisis intervention and counseling, educate the community to prevent sexual violence and advocate for systems to respond to and prevent sexual violence.
Their main offices are located in handsome, large 3-story red brick building that was originally a Baptist Church constructed in 1863.
From here, PAAR offers support groups, counseling, legal & medical advocacy and educational programs for children and adults.
The office is open weekdays, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
PAAR's facilities often open additional days and times depending on the program.
Metered, on-street parking is available along with public lots located nearby.
