Officially called the R.H. Macy Company, Macy's is one of the country's largest department store chains with a wide variety of merchandise. The company was founded in 1858 by Rowland Hussey Macy (1822-1877).
This store anchors South Hills Village, a two-level shopping mall located in the suburbs south of Pittsburgh. Opened in 1965, it was the first shopping complex to be built as a fully enclosed structure.
