Animal Protectors is a no-kill, non-profit shelter located in rural Westmoreland County. They ensure that these animals receive the safe and loving homes that they deserve, no matter how long that may take to happen.

With a small part-time staff, Animal Protectors Of The Allegheny Valley relies heavily on volunteers.

The organization examines the resident animals --- most of them strays --- for possible problems, with medical charts are checked and medication is administered when needed.

Animal Protectors sometimes hosts events like fundraisers and workshops in their simple building.
