Glade Run Church is a member congregation of the Presbyterian Church USA. They have been a member of this denomination and its antecedents for more than 200 years.
The Presbyterian Church USA is the largest Presbyterian denomination in the U.S. and was established by the 1983 merger of the former Presbyterian Church in the United States, whose churches were located in the Southern and border states, and the United Presbyterian Church in the United States of America, whose congregations could be found in every state.
The church is housed in a handsome, traditional red brick building featuring an Early American architectural style and a steeple aiming to the heavens. Glade Run has a multi-use space that is rented and loanded to outside organizations for many kinds of programs.
The official name of Glade Run goes back to a time in the church’s history when Presbyterian Churches in the area were known primarily as “United Presbyterian” or “Presbyterian” churches.
