The Manchester Citizens Corporation is one of the country's most sophisticated community development entities, and the oldest one in Pittsburgh.

Their mission is to plan, build, promote and maintain a thriving community representing this historic neighborhood on the city's north side.

Manchester is an architecturally rich and diverse neighborhood possessing the feel of a vibrant community within the urban landscape.

Manchester is located just minutes from downtown Pittsburgh, along the east bank of the Ohio River and is roughly bounded to the north by the Conrail Railroad, to the west by Chateau Street, to the east by Allegheny Avenue, and to the south by Western Avenue.

The neighborhood comprises one of the largest historic districts in the city and boasts some of the finest examples of nineteenth and early twentieth century architecture in the southwestern Pennsylvania region.

The Manchester Citizens Corporation's headquarters is a handsome two-story brick building with nicely appointed casework and large windows. Here, they hold community meetings, seminars and other programs.

The office is open weekdays, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
