Opened in 2007 and named in honor of the man who donated the land it sits on, the library's mission is to be an information and communication center for the suburb called Penn Hills.
Housed in an interesting, contemporaruy building, the library has a Children's Room, computer center, video section, photocopying machine and, of course, books of all kinds.
Additional facilities include seven study rooms and a 245-person capacity Community Room, among others.
