Formerly called the North Hills Youth Ministry, this center is a non-denominational community service organization that provides family, marital, individual and group counseling, along with preventive, educational and advocacy services.
It was created in 1966 by the North Hills Ministerial Association to be a unique non-denominational outreach ministry to teens, initially supported financially by member churches. It is and still is primarily financed and supported by local community, with its direction provided by a board of directors rooted in local churches. The professional focus has gradually broadened and now includes both counseling and prevention programs for children, teens and adults.
The center regularly offers workshops and support groups at their suburban headquarters, located on the 8th floor of an office building.
