The third largest state park in Pennsylvania, Moraine State Park is a beautiful 16,725 acre park in rural Butler County that is used for hiking, bicycling, group camping, picnicking and hunting.
The main feature is the 3,225 acre man-made Lake Arthur, home of the Lake Arthur Sailing Club and the Regatta At Lake Arthur. In addition to sailing the lake is a popular fishing destination and it has two swimming beaches.
Hunting is permitted on 13,600 acres where sportspeople can find ruffed grouse, waterfowl, squirrels, pheasants, black bear, turkey, white-tailed deer, and rabbits.
The trails at Moraine State Park are all open to hiking. Some are also open to equestrian, cross-country skiing, bicycles, and mountain bikes.
Moraine is also home to an 18 basket disc golf course.
