A member of Allegheny Mennonite Conference and the Mennonite Church, USA, Pittsburgh Mennonite Church (PMC)believes God calls us to be followers of Jesus Christ and, by the power of the Holy Spirit, to grow as communities of grace, joy, and peace, so that God's healing and hope flow through us to the world.

The Mennonites are a group of Christian Anabaptist denominations named after Menno Simons (1496-1561). Mennonite theology emphasizes the primacy of the teachings of Jesus as recorded in New Testament scripture.

The Mennonite Church is one of the traditional peace churches, and Pittsburgh Mennonite takes Christ's message of peace and justice seriously. Christ tells us to love everyone, not just our friends and neighbors, but our enemies as well.
