Officially called Pittsburgh Carrick High School, this is a public school located in a South Side neighborhood called Carrick.

Carrick's instructional program is designed around the Pittsburgh School District's comprehensive curriculum. Special programs include Business Technology Program, Cisco Networking Academy Program and Health Technology Program. Carrick is also known to have one of the best theater programs in the public school system.

The school also offers a variety of extracurricular activities and clubs, including 22 varsity sports, marching, steel drum and bagpipe bands, indoor guard, majorettes and percussion competition units, community service projects, ceramics, go karts, chess, electronics and others.

The school operates weekdays, 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. It is also open other days and times depending on the event or program.


There is a parking lot directly behind the school along with side parking on nearby streets.
