Established in 2001 as a fully accredited inner city college prep school, the goal of The Neighborhood Academy is to break the cycle of generational poverty through education.
Their community programs are held in the schools commons graced by a 40-foot hand-printed hanging sculpture by students and resident artist Cindy Snodgrass. The walls display in community mural by students and artist mural Sandy Moore.
Performing art programs are also held at the school's chapel, the historic St.Lawrence O'Toole Catholic Church and the schools Gymnasium.
The academy is normally open weekdays, 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Free, on-site parking is available.
