The Presto Volunteer Fire Deptartment is one of three volunteer fire departments currently serving the Collier Township community, which is home to over 6,000 residents and businesses.
Founded in 1947, the Presto VFD is a 100% volunteer department that has served the community for 60 years. Over the years, the department, as well as the community, has gone through many changes. Where volunteer fire departments once served as much a social club as a fire fighting unit, the advancements in technology, training, and even equal opportunity laws, have made today's volunteer fire companies an integral component of the "community protection unit".
The Presto VFD provides fire protective services as well as specialized rescue services. Whatever the call for help, this department is ready willing and able to respond with well trained, dedicated men and women, night or day.
The Presto VFD's social hall can seat up to 120 people for various kinds of events and includes a fully equipped kitchen.
Varies per event.
A large parking lot is available across from the fire hall/social hall that will accommodate 45-50 cars.
