This simple brick building serves as a worship center for local members of the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints, also known as the Mormons.
The Mormons are a Christian denomination that bases its theology in part on the belief that an American named Joseph Smith was called to restore the true Church of Jesus Christ to the earth in 1830. Jospeh Smith also brought forth writings considered scripture that had been lost for centuries called the Book Of Mormon.
In addition to worship space, the Pleasant Hills Chapel also offers members and guests classrooms and a multi-purpose "cultural hall" that can be used for events as varied as performances and basketball games.
Varies; call for information.
A large parking lot is located adjacent to the church, although that space is sometimes used for outdoor events.
