Description

What is now the Uptown first opened in downtown Washington, Pennsylvania in 1939 as the Basle Theater. It was hailed as a "theater of tomorrow" for its art deco style and what was then the latest technology.

Today, the restored and updated facility specializes in live stage performances, especially music of all genres.
