The UPMC Sports Performance Complex serves the health needs of more than 4 million people each year, improving lives in western Pennsylvania –-- and beyond –-- through redefined models of health care delivery and superb clinical outcomes.
The complex is a one-of-a-kind facility brings together a collegiate team, a professional team, and an academically based sports medicine program in one location.
At the heart of the complex is the UPMC Center For Sports Medicine, one of the leading sports medicine facilities in the United States.
Other key components include:
* The Sports Training Center is the ideal setting for athletic training, physical training, and team management. The center actually houses two side-by-side facilities that offer a complete complex for administration, training, and press communications. The Sports Training Center’s four 80-yard outdoor fields with observation towers allow coaching staffs to clearly analyze and improve on-field performance.
* The UPMC Indoor Training Center features a quarter-mile four-lane running track and full-size practice football field. The climate-controlled facility allows the Pittsburgh Steelers and University of Pittsburgh Panthers football teams to practice during bad weather.
* The Fitness and Conditioning Center provides athletic trainers and coaches with the necessary tools to help athletes of all types achieve their performance goals.
The office is open weekdays, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Other parts of the complex are open dependingon the event or program.
