The McKeever Environmental Learning Center is folded into a natural wooded setting about 75 miles north of Pittsburgh. The center is administered by Slippery Rock University as a public service institute of the Pennsylvania State System Of Higher Education.
Nestled amidst 205-acres, there are four miles of trails that meander through hardwood forests with streams, meadows and hemlock ravines that are open to the public sunrise to sunset every day of the year.
The center's year-round facilities include the 186-seat Roy Wilt Auditorium; the Sandy Creek Conservancy Room; dining hall and lounges.
In addition, the Discovery Building houses the offices for the McKeever staff as well as three classrooms/meeting areas and an outdoor classroom. A library/resource center is also located in this building.
The center is open daily, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
On-site parking for 100 vehicles are available.
