Saint Bernard Parish is a Roman Catholic church that has served the South Hills communities of Dormont and Mt. Lebanon since its founding in 1919. During this period, the Parish has grown from 180 families to over 10,000 members, serving parishioners and neighbors' spiritual needs, as well as being a focal point of daily life with numerous parish activities, especially St. Bernard School. In the 80 years that have passed since Bishop Canevin appointed Fr. Thomas Bryson as the founding Pastor, St. Bernard has truly grown to be, in the Bishop's words, "the Cathedral in the South Hills".
A key component of the church is Clairvaux Hall, where events are held.
The mission of Saint Bernard Parish is to help its people connect their faith with the world in which they live.
