The Benedictine Sisters Of Pittsburgh is a monastic community of 80 women that live the Rule Of St. Benedict. As Benedictines, the Sisters balance their day with prayer, monastic community, and ministry.
The Sisters offer community programs in education & pastoral ministry, music and the arts, human and social services in a handsome Gothic structure on a beautiful green campus.
Facilities include class rooms, a senior center, and the Catherine Thomas Theatre.
The Catherine Thomas Theatre (formerly called St. Benedict's Auditorium) is a renovated 600+ seat air-conditioned auditorium that functions as the home stage for various small theatre companies.
The office is open weekdays 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with variying hours at other facilities depending on events scheduled.
