Community House Presbyterian Church is a progressive Christian congregation made up of mindful, caring people gathered by God’s call to make a difference in the world through generous action and inspired living.
At Community House they believe that there is no understanding of life or of scripture without interpretation. They choose to interpret in the light of Christ's life of radical inclusiveness and generous action. They tear away the labels that are created by society to disenfranchise others. They stand firm in their commitment to be a loving and open community that welcomes everyone to the table of grace, peace and light.
The church's orgins go back to the 1830s as First Presbyterian Church Of Allegheny in what was Allegheny City and is now Pittsburgh's north side.
Sunday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Community House has a small private parking lot for guest parking. It is located on the corner of Parkhurst and Loraine Streets, just three doors down from the church building.
