Banksville School provides a rigorous academic curriculum which focuses on literacy, mathematics and highlights the fine arts.
Students participate in research projects and other reading initiatives designed to enhance their oral and written communication skills. Banksville has a fully equipped computer lab and a complete Waterford Early Reading Program in every kindergarten, first and second grade classroom. An Autistic Support and an Emotional Support classroom provide learning experiences in a small group setting.
Additional enrichment programs include instrumental music, chorus and a robust physical education curriculum. The extended school day experiences at Banksville provide students and parents with regular occasions for learning and enrichment beyond the school day.
Classes during the school year are held weekdays 9:05 a.m. to 3:31 p.m.
