Bushy Run Battlefield preserves and interprets for citizens and visitors the site of a pivotal battle fought between British and Native Americans during the conflict known as Pontiac's War (1763-64) and the role of this British victory in maintaining control of North America.
Sitting on 213 acres of forested and grassy areas, the site includes a replica of the flour bag fort,a visitors center and trails through the wooded and grassy fields which are the home to an annual reenactment.
The Battlefield trails and grounds are open Wednesday through Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. year-round.
The visitor center is open April 1 through Oct 31, Wednesday through Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, Noon to 5:00 p.m.
