The Presston Volunteer Fire Department's mission is to protect and serve the local community through heritage, pride and perserverance.
Established in 1905, the first firehouse was built on Helen Street funded by donations from the community. Today after hard work, the fire department houses two engines and is working to expand the building to house more engines as the area is expanding and more business and industrial buildings are moving into the area.
Fundraising and community events are often held at the department's Fireman's Club.
The fire house is operational 24 hours a day. The Fireman's Club is operational Monday through Thursday, 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.; Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.; Saturday, Noon to 2:00 a.m. and Sunday, 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Free, on-site parking is available.
