Political satirist and comedian Mark Russell plays off the day's headlines while accompanying himself on the piano in the college's historic Ford Chapel to celebrate the Baldwin-Reynolds House's 50th anniversary as a museum.
The Baldwin-Reynolds House was built to be the home of United States Supreme Court Justice Henry Baldwin (1780-1844) and his descendants. It is a valuable part of the history of the town of Meadville. The two story Greek Revival mansion is the quintessential southern home --- but one located in northwestern Pennsylvania. In 1963 it was bought by the Crawford County Historical Society to be used as a history museum.
Beginning in the 1970s --- especially on various public television specials --- Mark Russell pokes fun at those in power of all persuasions.
There will also be a post-show reception at the museum. For more information, call (814) 333-1258.
