This inspiring 2012 documentary film tells the story of the ambitious initiative to re-open a previously abandoned cinema in the city of Jenin.
Jenin is a small Palestinian city located on the West Bank of the Jordan River near Israel. Its history dates back to the 8th Century BCE and remains a major agricultural center for the surrounding towns.
The Cinema Jenin is located in the heart of the city and features plush seating that can accommodating over 300 people, an outdoor cafe, art gallery space, a children's park and playground and a library.
