This 2013 documentary film delves into the controversial practice called fracking.
Hydraulic fracturing ("fracking") is the propagation of fractures in a rock layer by a pressurized fluid. Supporters point to the economic benefits from vast amounts of formerly inaccessible hydrocarbons the process can extract. But critics are concerned potential environmental impacts, especially ground water contamination.
The film is the result of an 18-month investigation and features personal stories, experts and case files.
