Swing Dance Classes: Jitterbug
Wilkins School Community Center  [ venue info ]
1/31/2013

Learn how to jitterbug in one of two sessions tonight, one for beginners at 6:30 p.m. and another for intermediate hoofers at 8:30 p.m.

Jitterbug is a form of swing dance in which the dancers appear to not have control of their dancing and began gaining popularity in the 1930s and is again very popular on your local dance floor.

This session is part of a six-week program. No partner is needed and dancers will be rotated. All ages are welcome. Presented by Coal Country Traditions, a non-profit corporation dedicated to promoting and preserving traditional music and dance, particularly that of the south-western Pennsylvania region. For more information, call (412) 421-1767.
