The Pittsburgh Penguins, winners of three Stanley Cup championships, hit the ice against the Carolina Hurricanes in their last home of game of an abbreviated season.

Founded in 1967, the Penguins were one of the first expansion teams during the National Hockey League's original expansion from six to twelve teams.
