Chinese New Year Celebration
Marshall Middle School  [ venue info ]
2/2/2013 6pm

Take part in an extravaganza welcoming another year according to the Chinese calendar with an amazing array of exciting performances to delight the entire family.

Chinese New Year is the most important of the traditional Chinese holidays. The origin is itself centuries old and gains significance because of several myths and traditions. Today marks the beginning to the Year Of The Snake, one of the 12-year cycle of animals which appear in the Chinese zodiac. Ancient Chinese wisdom says a snake in the house is a good omen because it means your family will not starve.

Tickets start at $10. Presented by the Pittsburgh Chinese School and the local chapter of the Chinese Association For Science & Technology. For more information, call (724) 719-8340.
