Founded in Butler in 1929, the American Bantam Car Company (also known as American Austin Car Company) pioneered the Jeep --- a brand of vehicle that was first used an an all-purpose transport by the US Army. The company folded in 1946; Jeep is now a division of Chrysler Corporation.
Main activities include the Jeep Invasion street party in Downtown Butler, off-road playground, trail rides, show 'n shine, WWII encampment, history exhibit, national vendors, flea market and more. Over 1,500 Jeeps from over 20 states are expected to attend and most activities take place in or near the park.
