Savor a delicious luncheon, spend the afternoon browsing booths from unique local vendors and take part in a Chinese auction at this fundraiser.
The event is being held in memory of Christine Antonelli Sapienza, who grew up in the Mt. Washington area of Pittsburgh and graduated from St. Mary Of The Mount High School and Duquesne University. Chris died in 2009 at the age of 59 after a battle with colon cancer.
The luncheon and vendor show is called Cookies4Chris as a way of remembering Chris' deep Pittsburgh roots. She started making cookies for friend and relative weddings when she was in her teens and continued it for 40 years. In keeping with tradition, there will be a World-Famous Pittsburgh Cookie Table set up at the luncheon.
Tickets are $35 each. Proceeds benefit the Chris4Life Colon Cancer Foundation, whose goal is decreasing cancer deaths through research, preventative screening and cancer treatment. For more information or to purchase tickets, contact Marietta Barrett (412) 885-2374.
